This remote battery holder moves battery access for an AcuRite Atlas or Optimus weather sensor to a convenient ground-level location. A 30-foot cord plugs into the sensor battery compartment and connects it to a weather-resistant holder.

Installation and Battery Care

For Atlas installation, remove batteries from the sensor before plugging the cord into its battery compartment. Route the cord through the cover slot, replace the cover, then install the AA batteries in the holder. Secure excess cable with enough slack for a drip loop to keep rainwater from trailing into the holder. Heavy-duty and rechargeable batteries are not recommended. Use lithium batteries below -4°F (-20°C).
