TrueFlex combines an ethanol sensor and preassembled wiring harness for listed MQB EA888 Gen 3 2.0T engines. It sends fuel-system sensor data to a matching TrueFlex ECU calibration.

Key Features

  • Preassembled harness and plug connections for the listed VW MK7/MK7.5 and Audi 8V/8V.5 engines.
  • Real-time sensor input for matching calibrations covering fuel mixtures from 91 pump fuel to full E85.
  • Hardware kit includes the harness, sensor, fuse, quick-connect couplers and hose clamps.

Specifications

SKU: IEELCI2. Listed tune-support vehicles include Audi S3 2015–2021, Audi A3 Quattro 2.0T 2015–2021, VW Golf R 2015–2021, VW GTI 2015–2021 and VW GLI 2019–2021. Tune support depends on the exact model, year and calibration. Verify the required TrueFlex tune before ordering.

TrueFlex tuning is described for North American ECUs. Rest-of-world ECU support must be confirmed with the manufacturer before purchase. Early European Simos12 ECU 5G0906259 is not supported.

Package

  • One TrueFlex wiring harness.
  • One 2A fuse and one ethanol sensor.
  • Two ethanol-sensor quick-connect couplers and two hose clamps.

A matching ECU tune is required; a software license is not claimed included with this hardware kit. Sensor supply voltage, current rating and power are not specified here. The 2A value is the supplied fuse rating.

Installation and Use

Installation requires disconnecting and cutting factory soft fuel lines and should be completed with great care or by a professional. The kit will not function without a matching TrueFlex ethanol tune. Do not run ethanol without that tune on the ECU. A stock ECU calibration ignores the harness input until the appropriate tune is flashed.
