Protocol and Setup Requirements
Matter operation requires a Thread border router and a Matter controller. Aqara ecosystem operation requires the Aqara Home app and a compatible Aqara hub. These network devices are separate from this sensor.
Advanced controls in Zigbee mode include detection-range adjustment in 0.25m intervals, absence delay, reporting frequency and individual sensor enable settings. Available features vary by protocol and ecosystem. Switching protocol resets device settings; follow the app and manual instructions.
Package and Placement
The package contains one FP300 sensor and one user manual. Remove the battery insulation tab to activate the sensor. Battery-life estimates are up to three years in Zigbee mode or two years in Thread mode, subject to settings and use.
Avoid direct exposure to air-conditioner vents, fans and highly reflective surfaces that can disturb detection. Allow the sensor to learn the space after placement. Screw fixing is required for installation above 2m; confirm suitable mounting hardware for the surface.
